Na noite desta quinta (12), aconteceu o BAFTA Games Awards 2018, premiação organizada pela Academia Britânica de Artes do Cinema e Televisão. A cerimônia deste ano foi apresentada por Dara Ó Briain, um humorista e apresentador de TV na Grã-Bretanha.
Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey e What Remains of Edith Finch concorreram ao prêmio de melhor jogo. O vencedor do categoria mais importante da noite, para a surpresa de muitos, foi What Remains of Edith Finch.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice foi o jogo que recebeu a maior quantidade de indicações, nove no total; o jogo desenvolvido pela Ninja Theory também foi o que levou a maior quantidade de prêmios para casa, vencodo cinco categorias. Super Mario Odyssey foi outro que recebeu mais de uma estatueta, tendo levado a melhor nas categorias de melhor design e melhor jogo de família.
